The Koenigsegg Regera, of which only 80 units were produced between 2016 and 2022, marks a break in the philosophy of the Swedish manufacturer. Developed as a more grand touring-oriented alternative to the Agera then Jesko range, the Regera combines extreme mechanical power with daily comfort of use, thanks to a unique hybrid powertrain: the Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD).
The model offered here is one of the 9 units in right-hand drive, first registration in the United Kingdom on December 31, 2021, with only 800 miles on the odometer.
Koenigsegg Regera
This vehicle is finished in an Aluminium Silver Metallic shade, a sober color that contrasts with many exposed carbon exterior elements, notably the hood, the roof, the side skirts, the side air intakes, and the polished carbon mirror housings. It is equipped with the Ghost Package, a complete aerodynamic option that improves downforce by more than 20% at high speed. The AirCore carbon fiber rims, designed without a metallic hub, are paired with silver aluminum brake calipers with black lettering.
Koenigsegg Regera interior
Inside, this Regera receives a Desiato Leather upholstery with Snow color contrast stitching, a combination completed by matte carbon inserts (airbag, dashboard, center console), polished elements (door, central trim), and black anodized aluminum finishes. The luggage compartment is covered in black leather, and the remote opening system is coordinated with the interior finish.
Koenigsegg Regera Powertrain
The Regera combines a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 developed in-house with three electric motors for a combined power of 1,119 kW (1,500 hp) and a torque of 2,000 Nm. This system operates with a single fixed gear ratio transmission (2.73:1), without clutch or traditional gearbox, thanks to the KDD technology. The electric motors (supplied by YASA) are powered by a 4.5 kWh 800-volt lithium-ion battery, developed with Rimac, which also allows for regeneration up to 150 kW during braking phases.
The vehicle is based on a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, with double wishbone suspension, Triplex system at the rear, and Z-shaped anti-roll bars. The brakes are ventilated carbon-ceramic discs (397 mm at the front, 380 mm at the rear) with 6- and 4-piston calipers respectively. The announced performance figures are as follows: 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, 0–300 km/h in 10.9 seconds, and 0–400–0 km/h in 28.81 seconds, a record set in 2023 by Koenigsegg.
The Regera is equipped with a removable hardtop (targa) that can be stored in the front compartment. The vehicle is fully robotized, with hydraulic opening of the body panels (doors, hood, trunk), including the famous Dihedral Synchro-Helix doors. The infotainment system is based on a 9-inch Neonode infrared screen with Apple CarPlay, 360° camera, Wi-Fi, and OTA updates via 4G.
